Bersamin's Market by Eddie Flotte
Bersamin's Market
The Bersamins were our neighbors during our years in Paia... just up the block. The man in the doorway sat there often. His name was Bernard. I was told he was an expert blade setter... a man who sets the blades on the rooster's feet before they are fought. That is just what I was told and I like that kind of story to attach to a character in a painting.
