Return of Winter
Time marches relentless. I dig in my heels and claw the earth to catch a moment. Again it is winter, as it should and must be. Melancholy overwhelms me. I remember back over the years that flash by and wish I could remember more. What we said how we laughed. I wish I could see into your soul during the times you were alone. I can't help but imagine your pining love, your strength holding back sadness. The weight of this life has begun to get the best of me. I need you now to help me fight the fight, to keep the faith. I truly doubt that Spring showers will bring new life to my broken heart.
