Popeye
Popeye sits melting into the sand at the bottom of a shell covered road in Shell Pile New Jersey, named Popeye for obvious reasons by the people working down on the docks of the Maurice River by the Delaware Bay. Across the narrow road is another boat called Gilligan because of it's resemblance to the minnow. You can see that in my painting titled 'Morning on the Edge of Bivalve'. I thought maybe boats like this only existed in cartoons. It looks like boats I've drawn from my imagination, wishing they were real.— Eddie Flotte
