Over The House To The battlefield
Looking into the distance past kuerner's house, from high on the hill, you see the Brandywine battlefield. In the big sceme of things, that may be the larger historical importance to the area. To me though, it will always be The Wyeths, the Kuerners and the other characters and places made famous by Andrew's paintings, the Howard Pyle school and his famous class of illustrators which originally drew N.C. Wyeth to the area. Of course, the Brandywine museum which archives Many of the precious works of art and preserves much of the country side is as important as anything in the area.— Eddie Flotte
