Birds of a Feather

I actually caught these two characters while they were watching a ukulele concert in Kahalui. Once I had them all painted in, I still had blank, white paper all around them. My nextdoor neighbor had these roosters in his back yard. He let me take some photos and so I was able to paint them in as a very suitable background. Getting a good title can sometimes launch the whole painting to a new level. Titles start to bounce around my brain at about the halfway point on any painting. I go through them like a roll-a-dex until BING! ...one sounds just right. Sometimes I scribble the title loosely off to the side of a painting ...so I don't forget it.
