Arcola Post Office

I never would have found this site if my sister Betsy had not told me about it. It is really hidden away down a road I would have no reason to travel. When I did get there I started right away on this painting. It was such a pleasant experience, in a very remote, wooded area near the Perkionen Creek. So many of my paintings are done in busy, well travled areas. My view is constantly obstructed by cars, trucks and people. Working here was pure serenity. The lady postmaster always appreciated getting a look at each days progress.
