First Snow
The pond and spillway crackle frozen solid just to my right. A trickle of icy water runs under the makeshift bridge on the driveway under my feet. Winter's sunrise gleams in over the hill casting cold blue shadows towards me. My hands are cold, ... freezing, and my paint too is frozen. The whispers of history murmur through the air and I am living all of it. ...in my mind, my soul, my dreams. I was called here from across a continent and an ocean through the ethers. It feels like I've lived here, like I belong to this place and it belongs to me. Sandy sent me, knowing how much it haunted me. These years of wandering this ghostly place are part of our story. Sandy's and mine. ...Precious time we spent apart in the name of some mystical search. I love you Sandy. You have kept me alive. I miss you so.
