A Quiet Light For Karl
When Mr. Kuerner passed, it was his time. ...meaning he had lived a long and wonderful life which had wound down well into his golden years and taken him to the point where there was little left for him to do. Karl worked harder than anyone else I have ever known. I enjoyed his company more than I could ever explain. He loved to talk; he loved to remember and share from that incredibly rich history that had been Chadds Ford. I came like so many others on a pilgrimage to walk in the footsteps of the Wyeths. ...I found Karl and we became friends.
The light in the window is for him and a tribute to the incredible painting Andy did when Karl's father lay in the same room many years before.
