In A Flurry
After a stay of a few days in Chadds Ford and on my way out of town, I stopped by to see if I could manage a quick something. I remember Andrew Wyeth telling me he had done three paintings the morning I met him. I love to work fast, as fast as humanly possible. In this case, I backed in, in front of the barn and worked from the front seat. ...no elbow room at all. The trade off is the paint and fingers not being frozen solid.
After doing these I prop them up in the passenger seat and drive off having not had a chance yet to appreciate the effort. I quickly glance over at it when I can to examine the results while doing my best to keep eyes on the road. All the way up 202 I gradually start to realize I did well and it was well worth the stop.
