Eleventh And Asbury
In recent years it has gotten to be slim pickings when it comes to finding the next "old sea shore" style things to paint in Ocean City. That's where my family is for the summers, so while I am visiting I do hope to do some paintings. I've driven the streets up and down from inlet to inlet. This place on eleventh and asbury is a glorious hold-out from the good old days at the shore. While I was painting it, a developer approached me looking for the owner in hopes of making him an off. It still makes me nauseous when I think about it. I painted it twice in the summer of 2014. When I got back to maui I realized I had a pencil drawing of the same place from about 15 years earlier.— Eddie Flotte
