Demario Paia Chevron
When I showed the sketch I did of this man to a friend who had grown up in Paia, he said "Demario" ...which I figured he said because it was the man's name but I am really not sure. The man himself told me his name was Hoiemto but I could never communicate clearly with him because of a language barrier. His was mostly language of the philippines. Anyway I was never sure we had a clear connection. Not ever. The Chevron station was right next to Horiuchi market in Paia. This was the second painting I did to include it.
