Cows and Egrets
The so- called egrets in this picture, were drawn from wire sculptures wrapped in paper and tape. I made them so I could bend them into various poses to get the birds in action. They don't really look like any egrets I know of but I do like them as characters. The house on the hill is not far from our house in Makawao. For the longest time the Haleakala dairy had all the cows an artist could wish for.
