Echo Promises of Summer Love

Echo Promises of Summer Love, Asbury Park, is an original, fictional song about a young Bruce Springsteen and the origins of some of his lyrics ...scenes and characters from The Fourth of July, The E Street Shuffle, Rosalita, Tenth Avenue Freeze Out.

All images are from my watercolor originals. Some done in and around Ocean City, NJ and some on a trip to Asbury Park by way of Freehold. Those include a home that Bruce Sprinsteen lived in while growing up, and parts of the Asbury Park Boardwalk. The Rose of Lima Church; The corner of E Street and Tenth in Belmar, NJ. The palace amusements was done from internet photos.

Some of the song comes from my own experience and some from imagining Bruce Springsteen in very early years, before his song writing took hold ...people, places, and experiences that shaped his point of view, in Monmouth County near Allenhurst.
