Baldwin Avenue Paia
Pretty early on, after coming to Paia, I decided to take on this painting. It was a raising of the bar for me, a lot to handle. The original is the full width of a sheet of watercolor paper ... about 30 inches. To fully appreciate this image it has to be about that big. This row of buildings still sits down on Baldwin Avenue in Paia. The store fronts are always changing. New shops with new paint and new sign come and go. I am now thinking I should tackle it again. I'm sure I'd handle it differently.
