WATERCOLOR of  ORANGE AVE. and SPRING GARDEN ST.
AMBLER, PA.

All of these houses were a big part of my paper route.
This house on the corner was well known to kids through the neighborhood.
The streets were crowded with children on there way to and from school... many went home for lunch.
There was a great pear tree in the yard ... The man of the house was kind and generous and would welcome us to come have a pear.
On friday afternoons, I would stand in his living room collecting for the Philadelphia Bulletin.   I will remember forever the routine aroma of something delicious frying in a pan in the kitchen ... I could hear it.   My best guess would be cat fish caught at some secret spot which only he knew.
